THE ORANGE COUNTY LITERACY SOCIETY'S AUDIENCE
The OC Literacy Society was founded to help students obtain the skills and needed tools to achieve higher education. We focus on students in grades 6th through 8th grade who are struggling in their studies, would like to develop stronger learning skills, do not have the financial means, and do not know where to find the resources to assist them in their academic goals. This society will provide tools and important techniques on this platform including short story audios, comprehension quizzes, a Harkness platform, a list of study techniques, test-taking skills, and other recommended learning platforms to assist in studies. We aim to make learning fun and easy to obtain the tools needed to succeed. The OC Literacy Society is dedicated to helping the underrepresented middle school students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th to improve their reading comprehension and educational skills in a fun-filled way. We hope that our students develop a love for reading and learning through our short story audios, comprehension practice quizzes, study techniques, and an interactive collaboration platform that we will integrate shortly.

THE OC LITERACY SOCIETY'S TEAM
The OC Literacy Society's mission is to help students achieve higher education. Our team consists of middle school to high school students who support our mission. There are many ways in which you can join our team, and by participating, you can earn service hours. Depending on your specific skills and time commitment, you can be a story reader, a seminar or game host, a board member or hold a leadership position. Description of these jobs are down below as well as our application. We are always looking for more team members. Come join our team and help change a life.
